Nokia 6300 a Highly Uncomplicated Phone

A time when mobile companies are vying with one another to bring out the latest innovations in mobile phones it is very refreshing to see that Nokia has introduced a very simplistic Nokia 6300 mobile phone into the market. In many ways it is a correct marriage of form and function. It is one of the slimmest phones that Nokia has come out with but it sure is not the slimmest mobile in the world. It is very light at 91 Gms. It's made from a combination of tough stainless steel covers and glossy, expensive black plastic.

Display
It is a basic one piece Nokia 6300 mobile phone with a large screen. It is a 320x240-pixel (QVGA) color screen displays up to 16 million colors and is good for viewing photos, watching videos and reading text messages or emails on. The viewing has been greatly improved even in the sunlight mode and the pictures are pin-sharp.

Keypad
The keypad below the screen is large enough to be used comfortably. The navigation button and well spaced soft keys, Call and End keys are just above the keypad. There is a blue light on either side of the phone, which glows when you have an unread text message. This is very impressive.

Camera
Nokia 6300 has a Series 40 user interface which is quite user friendly. There is a 2 mega pixel camera on the reverse of the phone. The camera offers impressive resolution of some 1600 x 1200 pixels with video and still photography facilities. But one disappointment is the absence of the flash or the auto focus but it has zoom and night mode facility.

Features
It provides for all type of messing format from sms to email. A push of a button allows high speed access to the internet, with which you can keep a track of world news and events. IT also has a music player system which supports the MP3, MP4, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, H263 and H264 formats. It also has a visual FM radio. The sound quality on the speakers is excellent.
